The Brookland-Cayce High School Education Foundation established the Wall of Honor in 2024 to acknowledge non-educator alumni that have had a significant impact on Brookland-Cayce High School. 2026 Wall of Honor Inductee Wade Sellers
Wade Sellers, a 1959 graduate of Brookland-Cayce High School, has been inducted into the Brookland-Cayce High School Education Foundation Wall of Honor in recognition of his lifelong contributions to education, engineering, and community service.
Mr. Sellers attended Clemson University, where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering. His professional work has left as lasting mark throughout the community, with projects and contributions visible across Cayce, West Columbia, and Columbia. He also served proudly in the Army National Guard and Air Force.
A strong advocate for education, Mr. Sellers played a key role in establishing the Tri-County Technical College Bridge Program at Clemson University. He has remained deeply committed to student advancement, consistently supporting continuing education though the Brookland-Cayce High School Education Foundation and Clemson University.
Mr. Sellers is married to his wife, Judy, and they have two children. His selfless service, generosity, and dedication to education have positively shaped the lives of countless students and community members - not only in the Cayce - West Columbia area but throughout the state.

Senator Setzler is a 1963 graduate of Brookland-Cayce High School, where he was a cheerleader and a member of the Yearbook staff, Booster Club, and track team.
He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1968 and the University of South Carolina Law School in 1971. He founded his own law office in 1973, where he continues to practice today as Setzler and Scott in West Columbia.
He was first elected to the South Carolina senate in 1976, holding various roles over 48 years of service, including as Chair of the Senate Education Committee (1988-2000) and as Minority Leader of the Senate Democratic Caucus for eight years.
He and his wife Ada Jane Taylor Setzler, raised their four children in Lexington Two schools and are strong advocates for children and education. Among his community involvement, he has served with the West Metro Chamber of Commerce, Cayce West Columbia Lions Club, and the Lexington County Development Corporation.

Mike Stamps, known as a successful businessman and for constantly giving back to the community and Brookland Cayce High School is the first inductee into the Alumni Wall of Honor. He was a 1969 graduate of Brookland -Cayce known for hiring BC graduates at Southern Anesthesia & Surgical. Throughout his life, he was a constant learner and mentor to many. As a loving family man, he afforded his beautiful wife, Jan, to also serve our community. Even after his death in 2012, his gift of giving through the endowment scholarship continues to benefit Brookland Cayce High School students.
